So ... we had the exam review today and I tried to help people think about what they wanted to do this summer. I posted both on the blog here a few days ago...

along with an example we picked from Netflix- "Bird Box" to help us study for the exam.





In addition, I tried to help a few students but they moved all of the due dates and questions assigned posters ... somewhere.

It wasn't until after class today that I discovered that "they" had moved the posters to my work room.

Today was the first day AFTER the CA was done ... and the first of the EQAO testing.

So we took it easy - I did post the Exam review. I will go through it officially on Friday AFTER the EQAO thingy is complete.

We also did some heads up about planning for this summer - take a credit course, get a job or get ahead on your volunteer hours were all the suggestions I made in class. Working on a resume, too.

It was the fourth and last day for the Culminating Activity today.

Tomorrow ... is another day.

We worked hard and I signed off on things.

It was Day two of the CA in the class.

We worked hard and wrote a lot.

Hey everyone.

We started our Culminating Activity today. Pretty scary stuff.

We got our "Research portfolio/folders" finalized and together today. After this, nothing comes in to class except writing untensils.

We put the finishing touches on Newspaper Reports for the 12N unit today.

Whew!

We got the preparations for tomorrow underway, too. Read the rules about no pencil cases and no cell phones or other digital devices in class tomorrow. Everything in a folder.

All good all good.

On to the CA for the course tomorrow!

Tues Jan 8

Today we did a brief discussion about what January is bringing down at us. I mentioned the course sign up in February and the way to get second-semester timetables, too.

I also reinforced the idea about summer school this year again.

Then we did one on one conferences for the News Articles that are due.

All was good.

Happy 2019!

We took it nice and slow today, starting with a reviewing of a News Report assignment to end Twelfth Night.

All the notes were posted online before Christmas.

I did hand back all material I had marked and recorded for this class. I'll have updated marks by the end of the week.
